Needle bearing sheets that allow the springs to spin without getting into coil bind and resulting in popping or thunking noises, especially when turning. These are sized for 2.25" ID springs.
The two ends of a compressing coil spring will rotate relative to each other. Without a bearing surface allowing this rotation (or the steering motion on a strut front car), your springs will bind making for notchy and noisy steering on the front, and loosening perches in the rear.
Torrington Bearings are designed to allow spring rotation as they compress or rotate to eliminate noise and binding. These bearings also help keep your 2.25" springs aligned and reduce pre-loading.
We recommend periodically servicing these parts, including cleaning and adding light grease.
