VANOS Housing Press Tool, Beisan - E39 540i, E38 740i, E53 X5 4.4i/4.6is M62TU

During a M62TU Vanos rebuild there is one seal that cannot be replaced so Beisan developed this press tool to create a new, better seal with the existing one on the Vanos housing.

This tool compresses the outer housing of the Vanos unit to eliminate any gap to the inner plastic collar. It's a simple press tool with precision machined top and bottom pieces. Once the inner seal replacement is done, place the Vanos unit into the arbor tool, secure in your vice, and tighten the bolt to add the final cinch to your Vanos housing. You'll only need this tool twice (once for each bank) so you might be able to find someone willing to loan or rent it. Due to logistics BimmerWorld does not rent this tool.
