Power Steering Cooler Return Hose, Meyle - E46 323i/325i/328i/330i

This part is listed by BMW as BMW part number 32416796390 (32 41 6 796 390) and is described as Power Steering Hose from Reservoir to Cooler for E46 323i, 323Ci, 325i, 325xi, 325Ci, 328i, 328Ci, 330i, 330xi, and 330Ci. These models were offered in model years 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006.

BMW has two hoses they call a Return Line - this is the hose running from the power steering cooler to the reservoir. It returns fluid back to the reservoir. Like the Inlet/Supply Hose it has non-reusable crimped hose clamps where the hose meets the reservoir. Leaks are very common here as the clamps loosen and the rubber hose swells.

BMW uses a “quick disconnect” plastic fitting on some hoses that can be finicky to remove (push fitting further on the pipe, compress plastic collar, then pull apart). We strongly recommend having the QD fitting tool in your toolbox - see Related Items below.
