Front Upper Spring Perch With Radial Bearing - E38, E39, E46 M3, E60 M5

This part is listed by BMW as BMW part number 31331090612 (31-33-1-090-612) and is described as Front Upper Spring Perch With Radial Bearing, as used on several BMW chassis and models, including E46 M3, E38 7 series, E39 5 series (1997-2003), E60 M5 (2008-2010) and more. 

It's very common for the bearing in this upper spring perch to fail, which prevents the coil spring from rotating and causes the spring to bind, sometimes referred to as "Coil bind." When coil bind happens, it can cause popping noises during cornering. The solution is to replace the perch, which includes a fresh radial bearing, allowing the spring to rotate freely as it did before. 

Two required per car, sold individually.
