Front struts/shocks on the E39 525i/528i/530i and E83 X3 (up to 4/2007) are mounted to the chassis with this front upper strut mount. It's a dense rubber mount that also incorporates a bearing that allows the strut to rotate as the steering changes. Over time the rubber breaks down and the bearing wears out and the entire mount should be replaced.
This Original BMW front strut mount fits E39 525i, 528i, 530i () and E83 X3 2.5i, 3.0i, 3.0si (2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007).
