Early 2015 F8X M3/M4 Engine Oil Drain Plug with Washer

This is the engine oil drain plug used on the very early production 2015 F80 M3, 2015 F82 M4, and 2015 F83 M4. BMW used a special M16x1.5 aluminum drain plug on the early (6 months or so) build 2015 M3/M4 models. This was the plug used on cars built BEFORE 9/2014 (so built through August 2014 ONLY). 

If your 2015 model was built AFTER September of 2014, this is NOT the drain plug you need. Be sure to either check your current plug, check your production date, or call/chat with us with your VIN number to be certain. 

This early style drain plug does NOT have a replaceable crush seal washer so it must be replaced any time the oil is drained. BMW changed to a more conventional drain plug, with a different oil pan, from 2015 on. Unfortunately, because they also changed the oil pan the new drain plug cannot be retrofitted to these early 2015 models.
