ZF Hybrid 2 transmission fluid has been specially engineered for the high temp and high torque of hybrid drivetrains in many 2023-later BMW PHEV models. Electric driveline systems produce more torque and force than conventional combustion engines. This requires premium fluids to ensure reduced wear, greater protection and improved vehicle performance.
ZF hybrid ATF is engineered specifically for hybrid drives and is superior than generic off-the-shelf transmission fluid for the 8-speed automatic. ZF engineers focused on lowering friction and improving cooling, which helps with driveline efficiency, wear, and lifespan.
Sold by the liter for minor servicing or topping up. Hybrid model transmission capacity is 9 liters, however, not all will drain during service.
This is an OEM hybrid transmission oil manufactured by ZF - the original supplier to BMW for hybrid drive and the 8-speed automatic transmission.
