ZF Transmission Oil Pan Bolt, M6x28.5 - E82, F22, E9X, F3X, F10, G30, F90, X3/X4, X5/X6, Z4

This is the mounting bolt used on many ZF automatic transmissions oil pans. It's a M6x28.5mm Torx bolt that secures the oil pan to the bottom of the transmission.

128i/328i/X3 note: The ZF 6-speed transmission has a black plastic oil pan while the similar GM 6-speed transmission has a silver metal oil pan. The GM transmission will have "GM" on the side label. The bolts are not interchangeable so it's vital to know which one you have.

Sold per bolt. The quantity required depends on which transmission. All 8-speed automatics take 13 bolts. The 6-speed autos take 21-24, depending on the model (see list below). These are priced per bolt. BMW recommends replacing them during fluid maintenance.
