This is the replacement auxiliary cooling radiator used in M Sport models of the F22 2-series, F30 3-series, and F32 4-series models (and the M235i/M240i Racing). Only M Sport models came equipped with this additional radiator located in the driver side wheel well. The greater surface area helped in cooling during high performance driving.
There are two different aux radiators shown for these applications. They both use the same frame, hardware, and hoses. The difference is the number of cooling tubes. This 057 radiator uses 25 tubes. The 17117600697 radiator has 19 tubes.
