Trunk Lid Gasket - URO parts - E28 524td 528e 535i M5 (1982-1988)

Does your E28 5 series have a leaky trunky? The usual cause of trunk leaks is simply a leaking trunk gasket, allowing water to enter the trunk and do damage. Fortunately, despite how expensive and hard to find a new original BMW trunk gasket is, this aftermarket reproduction works great and is a fraction of the cast.

Don't try to salvage nasty old junk yard gaskets! A new aftermarket is going to work better and last longer. This is a rubber part that breaks down and deteriorates naturally with age. The rubber dries out, dry rots, cracks, and causes your E28 trunk to leak.  fresh new rubber gasket is the best cure, hands down. 

Replaces the older / former BMW part number 51711864909 (51 71 1 864 909) as well as the current part number 51711889473 (51 71 1 889 473). 

This trunk seal can be used on any E28 sedan model, as offered in model years 1982, 1983, 1984, 1985, 1986, 1987, and 1988. This includes the following BMW Models: E28 528e 1982-1988, E28 524td 1985-1986, E28 533i 1983-1984, E28 535i 1985-1988, E28 535is 1988, E28 M535i 1985-1987, and E28 M5 1988.
