This is a universal fastener used on MANY different BMW chassis and models. The use of this style body nut dates back to classic models like the BMW E30, E28, E24, and was used on virtually every BMW model after.
This is a combination nut / washer, and is meant to be used with a COARSE thread sheet metal screw (sold separately). The outer diameter of the washer-shaped surface measures 30mm in diameter (1.18 inches).
This body nut didn't just come on classic, it continued onto 90s and 2000s models like the E36, E46, E34, E39, E60, and more. You'll also find some on more contemporary BMWs like the F chassis models (F30, F31, F32, F33, F34, F36, F80, F82, F83, F87, F01/F02, F06, F07, F10, F13 and so many more. We're also seeing these body nuts on on the G chassis models and many X1, X2, X3, X4, X5, X6, and X7 suv models.
